Expert And Weighty Issue[edit]

To put it nuetrally, I believe this article needs a huge commitment of time by a dedicated Blue Beetle fan. Secondly, during the Grant Morrison run of JLA, during the WW3 storyline, Booster and Ted talk about how Ted -still- has a weight problem and is fact, weating a girdle at that very moment. This is long after General Glory, who helped Ted lose weight before, passed away. Heck, long after the second Glory was killed. Lots42 (talk) 05:59, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of the Blue Beetle recurring feature in The Electric Company. something else that he had in common with Spiderman . — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.239.84.125 (talk) 05:32, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Grammatical Tense?[edit]

Why has this article been given a tag indicating incorrect grammatical tense? The parts detailing the publication history are in past tense, and the fictitious parts are in present tense, except for the parts regarding Kord's abilities, which are just about impossible to write intelligibly in present tense. Any suggestions on how to revise to remove this tag? Boomshadow (talk) 23:05, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"With or without citations..."[edit]

I've removed the uncited content from the article. If a reliable source didn't think it was important enough to mention, it is trivial, and therefore not usable by us (even if we think it's important). That is one of the more difficult concepts for new editors to grasp; Wikipedia isn't a fanzone, wherein every mention of the character is noted for posterity. Understanding what does/doesn't make a source reliable is often key to using the right sources in the first place; Blogspot is not a reliable source. Thoughts? - Jack Sebastian (talk) 20:02, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps... But at the same time, somehow I am not sure I can trust you... when they say like this, this doesn't mean that they are honest; maybe you are one of them. It will be better brought back or I will still consider it as a offense. - 89.164.202.79 (talk) 22:39, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Respectfully, it doesn't matter whether you believe me or not; my edits are guided by rules and guidelines, such as WP:RS, WP:CITE, and WP:NPOV. Since you have some trouble believing me, check those out, and they will surely set you straight.
None of those statements are coming back without reliable sourcing, and I would suggest that you ask some other, more experienced editors for assistance; I was more than willing to help, but - as you said - you're not sure you can trust me. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 23:16, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As for the guidelines, some of them I respect for some cases... but for some small exceptions, like this one, those to me seem either paradoxical, illogical or incompatible and thus, sometimes I am not sure whether I will follow them and only relying on my confidence, without relying on others or blindly and stubbornly following the rules which has nothing to do with common sense; even the people who follow the rules sometimes make mistakes and become like a fools who think they are always right, but in reality not. As for other editors, I am not sure I will ask them for this as the result will probably be the same (unless possibly someone agrees with me if that happens). In short, I will not accept the offer since you are probably try to manipulate me as dozens of others. Such "gentle, reasonable offer" like this one is usually a great sign of manipulation in general for some cases and I know this from my experience very well; you also know about it as well (regardless of denials and so on). Or you are just blind and unreasonable person like many others. This offer is off and I will stay to my opinion for this case. - 89.164.202.79 (talk) 05:35, 29.4.22. (UTC)
You will act as you will, and the community will act to protect the Wiki as it will. Forgive me for assuming that English is not your native tongue; you write well, but your grasp of wordplay is kinda blocky.
I am trying to tell you that editing here is unlike editing in a fan page, where you can state your opinion have it considered as being completely equal with objective fact or, as in this case, cited material.
Wikipedia only utilizes material that can be corroborated via external, reliable sources, be they books, news articles, critical reviews, etc. Your opinion has precisely zero value here within Wikipedia. If you ignore that idea, you will find your time in the wiki to be nasty, brutish and short. My comment is designed as advice, not as a warning sign. Again, I ask you to seek out the advice of others to either corroborate what I am saying or to learn the proper form to voice your dissent. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 23:13, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of character in Young Justice TV Series?[edit]

Kord appears in the Young Justice TV series; he joined the Justice League between seasons 1 and 2, dying shortly before the start of the latter. His memorial in the Mount Justice grotto is shown in Season 2, Episode 8 "Satisfactions". Like many of his comic portrayals, he doesn't use the scarab, but instead holds onto it after his mentor, Dan Garret, the first Blue Beetle dies. In Season 2, Episode 18, it's revealed in a flashback that Kord was attacked at his company, Kord Industries, by Deathstroke and Sportsmaster of The Light for the scarab, and he quickly throws the scarab out the window, where it latches onto a passing-by Jaime Reyes, who is upset that he never got to meet his predecessor. He also shows up in Season 3, Episode 12 as an illusion in Beast Boy's mind, alongside other heroes who died in action.

I believe this is more than enough info to be added in the "In other media" section. 2600:1700:DEC1:3D10:9919:B845:64DE:5D9D (talk) 17:11, 16 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
