Page Name

I submit that this page should be moved to Ted McGinley, the name under which he is best known. The full name can be mentioned in the first sentence of the article, but I don't see why the article title shouldn't be his commonly billed name, causing unnecessary redirects. Absolutely, there's no question about this. I've moved it back Mad Jack 06:43, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

Married with Children was a turn-around series for him

While McGinley is thought of by some as being the patron saint of "jumping the shark" (you might want to change that to most) for his roles in "Happy Days" and "The Love Boat" (Didn't see him in "Dynasty" perhaps there too) as his character was introduced while the shows were in decline and after the shows had "jumped the shark" I would submit that his character on "Married with Children" Jefferson D'Arcy was much stronger than David Garrison's Steve Rhoades and helped strengthen the series.

Yep. I'm a fan too. Most JumpTheShark aficionados are big fans of Ted. His talent is often the reason he's brought into declining shows-- rather than him causing the decline. However, it's neither here nor there-- whatever the reason, he's well known as the patron saint. I reworked the section on it but tried to keep the spirit intact.

Brother of John C. McGinley?

If Ted & John are brothers, how come they grew up on opposite sides of the US? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Paulredfern1 (talkcontribs) 07:16, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

I recall reading they were cousins. --Virkokka (talk) 08:18, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
