COI tag[edit]

@DavidLee200 and Valereee: with the recent edits/rewrites to this article, is the COI tag still appropriate? An editor A user has asked me to remove it but I don't have as much background with the page as you and would defer to your opinions on the matter. Primefac (talk) 10:08, 19 August 2020 (UTC) Added clarification per reply below, isn't technically an editor that asked. 10:36, 19 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Primefac, for me it depends on who is asking and why. There are multiple accounts that look like they have a COI, and as far as I can tell none has disclosed. If it's one of the likely COIs, and they disclose and indicate they'll stop editing directly, I have no objection to taking the tag off, at least until it starts happening again with one of the others. :) But I'm also wondering why they didn't just come here themselves and ask that. —valereee (talk) 10:25, 19 August 2020 (UTC) Ah. Well, tell them that if they're using multiple serial socks to edit, it's a bad idea. :) 10:41, 19 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the artist is now simply known as “McDONALD” - evidenced by his website.

Partly done The website has been changed. As for the title, Wikipedia uses the most common name that reliable sources use for titles, and not necessarily official or legal names, see WP:COMMONNAME. 331dot (talk) 10:29, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please add the following to 'work'

Teddy McDonald hand painted the protective lid worn by Kenton Cool for his record-breaking 16th successful summit of Mount Everest on 15 May 2022.

Teddy McDonald is identified as the artist in this independent news article -

website update[edit]

  • I think the artist's website should be changed:
  • The artist recently changed his domain to teddymcdonald.co.uk:
  • This can be referenced by typing in the domain teddymcdonald.co.uk which will load the artist's official page. I am unfamiliar with how Wiki editing works, so please forgive my ignorance. Thank you for your consideration and action. (format using the "cite" button):
