It was very soft going that day at Epsom so not surprising it was a slow time. Not particularly important but is it certain that his first race as a 3yo was a maiden at Haydock. I seem to remember it as a handicap. I believe John Reid rode him and he was narrowly beaten. (Victor Middlesex (talk) 03:43, 11 December 2015 (UTC)).[reply]
