Photo caption[edit]

There has been some back-and-forth edits of the photo caption between User:208.81.184.4 and User:Community of Christ. I have to say that I believe User:208.81.184.4 has adopted the favored approach here. Photo captions are supposed to describe the photo. Any further information in a photo caption is extraneous and should be discussed in the article text. In this case, the information User:Community of Christ wants to include in the photo caption (that the LDS Church assisted the Hedrickites in the case) is already discussed in the article text. So I agree with User:208.81.184.4 that the information being added to the photo caption by User:Community of Christ is extraneous and redundant, and therefore is unneeded. To make a longer story shorter, I consent and defer, and don't intend to revert the disputed caption again. However, I wouldn't mind mentioning elsewhere the "Brighamite/Josephite/Hedrickite" labels, those seem helpful to sorting through a dreadfully complicated panoramic, both historically and at present.
