Merges[edit]

The articles listed for merge into this article really don't stand on their own, and are not notable separate form this main article. It would appear that it would be better at this point to consolidate the information in this main article. -- 63.224.137.164 03:46, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Characters not officially married off[edit]

I have changed the name changes for Meagan Sorenson and Mary Symeon, because they are not officially married to Apollus Brutus Severillus and Harry Hawkins respectively. While they ARE engaged, they HAVE NOT been married yet, and since that is the case, their maiden names should still be listed. Also, Mary's last name, as found in book 9, which makes it verifiable, has been identified in the prologue as Symeon, NOT Cleophas. I hope this information is helpful to you.--Jgstokes-We can disagree without being disagreeable 02:56, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm chuckling because I do not think the marital status of either of these characters has changed in the ensuring 13 years, although 2 more books have been issued.John Pack Lambert (talk) 19:21, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

More Info[edit]

I hope nobody minds, but I have provided a little more detail about each book (with a spoiler warning!) as to make each book make a little more sense. Ikcenok 22:15, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Two queries[edit]

I have two questions about content that is or at one time has been in this article. 1. I just reverted a change of one of the character's names. Someone insisted that Fire-born's correct name was "Fire-is-born". What is the rationale behind that? Because there was not explanation, I reversed the change. 2. It seems to have disappeared now, but at one point, it was mentioned that book #11, whatever it will be called, will be published next year. As a registered guest on the fansite Passage to Zarahemla, I can tell you that Chris talked about the possibility of having the next book out by next year, but it's not definite. If it's impossible to verify something that is in the future because it hasn't happened yet, how could Wikipedia, basing its articles on verifiable sources, justify such a change? Any light anyone has on these two questions is appreciated. Thanks. --Jgstokes-We can disagree without being disagreeable 21:59, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chris's websites[edit]

I understand why the link to ptzfans.com has been removed (no longer an operating Chris Heimerdinger site) but what is the rationale behind removing cheimerdinger.net? It is under construction and it is coming soon, so nothing in the actual content of the website was not verifiable. If this could be cleared up, I'd sure appreciate it. --Jgstokes-We can disagree without being disagreeable (talk) 00:59, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism by 69.92.67.62[edit]

I just reverted a change made by the user with IP address 69.92.67.62. His/Her changes were not only unverifiable, but also very disgusting. The following changes were reverted: Gadiantons and the Crappy Sword The Sacred Chest The Last Scrolls Fart of Thunder

In my mind, this vandalism must not be tolerated. I indicated such in reverting the change. I don't know what else can be done to see that something like this doesn't happen again. Perhaps this user was just trying to be funny, but there's a fine line between humor and vandalism, and this user just crossed it. --Jgstokes-We can disagree without being disagreeable (talk) 20:15, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Release Date[edit]

When Chris visited the Davis County Library in September/October 2007 he said he planned to start writing Tennis Shoes 11 after he finished Passage to Zarahemla. Hillshum. (talk) 22:59, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Passage to Zarahemla[edit]

Added the following: But in a public conference in Provo, Utah, to promote the opening of the movie, in response to a question from the audience he stated that the series's not related, and should not be considered that way. I know this is true, because I was the one who asked him the question. If I had source other than peoples memory than I would cite it, but seeing as the previous part was uncited I feel it should suffice.Lostincyberspace (talk) 02:03, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Primary sources[edit]

Currently the article has a single source, the Passage to Zarahemla blog. Obviously we need more sources and need to find independent, reliable sources. --Ronz (talk) 17:31, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

Currently we have no independent sources. Obviously, we need some that show that the WP:BK criteria has been met. --Ronz (talk) 17:31, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Currently the article appears to mostly a cut-and-paste from promotional material on the books. Once we have the article mostly verified, we will need be sure the article is written from the pov of the secondary, independent sources, rather than purely that of primary sources. --Ronz (talk) 17:31, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikify[edit]

The references need to be properly formatted and linked in as footnotes. Is the list of characters appropriate? --Ronz (talk) 17:31, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New information available on Tennis Shoes Adventure Series[edit]

While browsing the internet today, I stumbled upon the blog of Chris Heimerdinger. I had read it once or twice but not consistently. A recent post provides updated information about the Tennis Shoes Adventure Series. Since this website is a verifiable source, I suggest that the contents of this most interesting blog post be incorporated ASAP into this article. For the benefit of anyone who would be interested in looking it over and working something out for this wikipedia page, the location where this post can be found is as follows: Frost Cave: "Tennis Shoes" Bombshell Hope this helps. --Jgstokes-We can disagree without being disagreeable (talk) 20:46, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind. Just took care of it myself. Post here with any questions/comments/complaints you may have about the addition. Thanks. --Jgstokes-We can disagree without being disagreeable (talk) 03:17, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

–== Summary needs to be written for "Drums of Desolation." ==

Hello, friends! Chris Heimerdinger's latest book, Drums of Desolation, has been on the shelves for a month now. I think it is appropriate and necessary to add a summary for Drums. However, I don't trust myself to do it because I tend to run on at the mouth (or in this case at the keyboard). So if someone else could please take care of this ASAP, that would be appreciated. Thanks! --Jgstokes (talk) 01:14, 5 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This has still not been done. Again, I don't feel like it's something I could handle myself. Is there anyone else out there who's read the book that would be able/willing to add a summary for "Drums" to this page ASAP? Thanks/ --Jgstokes (talk) 03:36, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Here we are a little over eight months since "Drums" was published. Heimerdinger is already posting excerpts from Thorns of Glory. In light of this, I feel it is more important than ever to get a summary of Drums on this page. I don't feel like I could handle summarizing this book. It was beyond description for me. But someone needs to take care of it. Any takers? --Jgstokes (talk) 03:01, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • If I find my copy or get one on my kindle and read through it soon I might try my hand at it. That we are still waiting for book 13 almost 5 years later is an interesting development.John Pack Lambert (talk) 19:23, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
