Reliable sourcing[edit]

@Quetzal1964 and Casliber: I'm currently reviewing the DYK nomination, and one thing that I think needs to be looked at is the reliability of the sources. The WP:NOTRS notes that personal blogs are not considered reliable do to the lack of sources in them. Currently the article here has several blogs used for sources, notably for the common and scientific etymology sentences. I would suggest taking the sections based on blogs out, if a secondary or peer reviewed source is not available. --Kevmin § 18:44, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Kevmin and Casliber: Thanks to you both for your comments and edits, I have tried to do as you suggest, please have a look. The derivation of the name stretch spider is mentioned a lot in unsourced pages and it "makes sense" but I can't find a referenced page that gives that so I have removed it.
