Cattle feed lots on I40 and I10[edit]

I travel across TX at least once yearly. I am baffled that there are cattle crammed onto such small spaces, mired in their own excrement with such beautiful, green pasture all around. It is cruel, in my opinion. Further, I have to try not to breath as we drive past because the odor is so nauseating. Where are the protectors of these animals?
