Origins[edit]

I'm skeptical about the provenance of this term. It's in wide use in the media today and Cassidy is claiming ownership, but are there any sources from the '80s when this was allegedly created that also term it the "texas ratio"? I know the metric was in common use at the time but only recently became aware of this name for it. All sources seem to be current and based solely on Cassidy's claim 63.88.61.129 (talk) 19:53, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

spam links[edit]

I (and earlier, other editors, incl. User:Ronz) seem to be coming close to a revert war with anonymous user @ 71.109.xxx.xxx regarding what has been called WP:EL, WP:SPAM, WP:NOTLINK. Can others weigh in re: a consensus on these links? -- B.S. Lawrence (talk) 16:56, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The overwhelming consensus appears to be that these links are inappropriate. I think a case can be made just to WP:BLACKLIST or restrict the nuscho.com link via XLinkBot (talk · contribs). --Ronz (talk) 17:05, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
