Date of opening[edit]
According to John Joyce (with Gwynn Spencer McPeek) in the article "New Orleans" at Grove Music Online, although the construction of the theatre actually began in 1806 by Tabary, it did not open until October 1815, burned down the next summer, and was not rebuilt until 1819. --Robert.Allen (talk) 09:46, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
Laure Cinti-Damoreau[edit]
When Laure Cinti-Damoreau visited in 1844, did she perform at the Orleans Theatre? if not, this should probably be moved elsewhere. A source for the info is needed. We should be careful to remember that this artcle is about a particular company and venue, and not a general history of opera in New Orleans. --Robert.Allen (talk) 11:23, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
