The fact that there are two communities known as thandan should be brought out clearly in the beginning of the article --K N Unni (talk) 07:59, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is only a title in Malabar[edit]

In Edgar Thurston's book on Caste and tribes of southern india, it was found that it was a title in the British caste sensus and that its spelling was Tandan, and it was corrected.J.k.r0012 (talk)
