Errors in article[edit]

Poe never worked on the staff of the American Review. In 1844, he was hired by N. P. Willis for the New York Mirror. The comment in the article is in error. Outis. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.111.90.36 (talk) 21:39, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the illustration is actually the title page for the volume, which would have been sent as part of the June issue (as the final issue for the volume). In any case, it is not part of the first issue, which would have had paper covers and a table of contents, but no title page.
