What is wrong with the contestants table?

It adds infomation that the rest of the article does not. Whay does UKPaolo keep removing it??? 80.41.75.197 15:39, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

we don't need the table included twice, and I've thus reverted your latest addition UkPaolo/talk 17:22, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Oh, sorry! 80.41.122.98 08:31, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

not a problem. If you're planning on sticking around and doing some more editing (and I hope that you are), why not create an account? UkPaolo/talk 22:11, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

Big Banner

I added a banner on the side! Thanks Dalejenkins 18:38, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Series one

It strikes me that this page should be about the UK version of The Apprentice in general, not specifically about series one. If people feel that the information for each series would make this page too large if it were on here, then both series one and series two should have their own pages (suitably linked from here, of course). Unless I hear serious objection, I shall move the bulk of this page to a "series one" article in a day or two. Note - I wouldn't be opposed to the "series two" content being merged back onto this page either. I just think that we should either have the details of both series OR neither series in this article. makes sense--Giddylake 16:51, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
OK, I've gone and done it! I've tweaked the articles around a bit to make it fit. I think it would be nice to have brief summaries of the series below the "main article" templates for each season. Jamse 15:59, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Quotes

I just changed the quotes a bit so they tell who Sir Alan Sugar was saying that to, to make more sense out of the quote. I didn't do all of them since I didn't know the last couple ones (probably off the First Series - I don't know, never watched it), But I was thinking also if we have quotes from not just Sir Alan Sugar, but from other team members, like Sayed Ahmed in Series 2 saying "I agree with the A Team" and split the quotes into Series 1 and Series 2. --Wakimakirolls 14:14, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Contestants

Saira Khan, runner up of Series One, is now a celebrity in her own right and is working on other TV projects. I would like to create her separate profile but her name is automatically redirected to this page - how can that redirection be terminated so that she can have her own page? Thanks. 13 April 2006, UK 007

"You're Fired"

With it being English, shouldnt he really say "you're sacked" instead of the Americanism? TR_Wolf

'You're fired!' sounds meaner. Lol. Olz06 12:52, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Censorship of swearwords

I'm not sure why the swearing in Sugar's quotes really need censorship, but it seems bizarre the "wanker" is plain to see if everything else isn't.

Starring out words is bad style. If the word is justified by context, include it in full. If it's not, don't use it at all. Jon.baldwin 18:27, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
I agree. Swearwords and coarse language appear uncensored elsewhere on the Wiki. Quotations should be as spoken. garethpeate 00:17, 21 April 2006 (GMT+1)

Quotations

I was being bold and have removed the quotations section. None of the quotes seemed to add anything to the article, and let's not forget we're writing an encyclopedia here. If the section does return, I think it needs to be severely trimmed down: including catchphrases is one thing, but there is no need for incidental quotes to be listed seemingly at random. Also, per the above, wikipedia is not censored and thus any quotes including swear words should not be asterisked. If anyone reverts my change, I'd appreciate there reasoning behind doing so, here. UkPaolo/talk 19:04, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

I would second what has been done by UkPaolo but would suggest that instead of removal, that the quotations should be moved to wikiquote. DVokes 18:19, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
Fair point, they're still available via the edit history if you feel like creating a page on wikiquote... :) UkPaolo/talk 21:43, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
Sorted, if anyone wants to check it's all been done correctly. Had difficulty with the wikipedia links as they referred to wikiquote rather than wikipedia, so simply removed them I'm afraid. Anyway, if anyone who has a bit of experience with wikiquote could check it out, would be awesome. Cheers guys, DVokes 22:08, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
Nice one, I totally forgot about the possibility of moving the quotes to Wikiquote. Looks like you've done a great job. Can't say I'm familiar with Wikiquote, but I presume it's the same as Commons in that you can link to Wikipedia by prefixing a link with "wikipedia:" (i.e. a link to this article would be [[Wikipedia:The Apprentice (UK TV series)]]). UkPaolo/talk 07:20, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Just registered for an account there, and added the links UkPaolo/talk 07:23, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Music

One piece of music that recurred through series 2 is from the soundtrack to Ravenous. I can't remember which track at the moment. violet/riga (t) 21:12, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

The theme music is "The Dance of the Knights" by Prokofiev from "Romeo and Juliet". Let's not mix up theme music with incidental music, please.
