A fact from The Big Bend appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 25 July 2017 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that The Big Bend, which would be the world's longest building if built, was designed to circumvent zoning regulations?
The discussion of this building's "length" - which generally suggests a horizontal measurement - is somewhat misleading and sounds like a marketing gimmick. While the photograph provides some clarification, the text should also. PurpleChez (talk) 18:39, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
As well as the bit about circumventing zoning. It does no such thing. Two vertical towers connected at the top (whether with a horizontal bridge or a U shape) does not make one tower that is "higher" than zoning allows. The article should also explain the proposed elevator system is one which the car goes up one shaft, travels horizontally to a second shaft for the descent. MB 20:48, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
