Three Albums Not Mentioned in the Discography[edit]

We purchased these albums as a package at their Nashville show while on a 7 day trip in October 2008 (Returned to Philadelphia just as Phillies won the 2008 World Series). Unfortunately, I do not know when these albums were recorded or released. Here are the titles: "The Blackwood Brothers Quartet - The Blackwood Homecoming" "The Blackwood Brothers Quartet - Great Gospel Harmony" "Blackwood Singers - Create The Demand" GRZ45RPM (talk) 07:07, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A Clue in Track 1 of "The Blackwood Homecoming"

After the first verse of "Give the World a Smile", there is a quote: "I'm James Blackwood. Welcome to our Blackwood Homecoming. Family and friends are here to present to you many of the songs identified with the Blackwood Brothers Quartet in hopes it will bring back many fond memories. So sit back and enjoy the music our family has sung for over 60 years."

The main Blackwood Brothers article states the group was established in 1934, also the James Blackwood article states he passed away in February of 2002. Ok, 1934 + 60 years = 1994. This track was recorded between 1994 and Feb 2002, an 8-year period. Let's do a little give and take. Give a year or two for the group to develop a repertoire of songs to perform, and possibly take some time if James's health deteriated prior to his passing and that would narrow the 8-year period.

I also realize these may be re-released and retitled versions of albums in the Discography, so I can provide track lists for each album if requested.GRZ45RPM (talk) 08:56, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
