Found three issues:

Background

  • Is it possible you could add the image of the course to this section? I know that Putney Bridge usually marks the start of the race, but you could state that the race was conducted in reverse.
I've made a request at the map laboratory for one to be made especially for this article, but so far no-one's been prepared to step up to the mark and help. I think it would be confusing to add the Championship Course image, even with a note saying it was in reverse and to a different conclusion.... Have added a (sort of) contemporaneous image of Westminster Bridge as a compromise... The Rambling Man (talk) 11:43, 15 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Race

  • Do any sources describe the weather conditions?
Will check my other paper sources shortly. The Rambling Man (talk) 11:16, 15 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No obvious signs I'm afraid. The Rambling Man (talk) 11:43, 15 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Oxford won the toss and elected to start from the Middlesex side of the river." Note that it left Cambridge to start from the Surrey side.
Have done so. The Rambling Man (talk) 11:16, 15 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That's all the issues I could find. I will promote once these are addressed. good888 (talk) 10:25, 15 November 2014 (UTC

The image will do for now, but fingers-crossed that somebody at the map laboratory will respond to your request. Anyhow, promoting this article to GA class. good888 (talk) 13:37, 15 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
