Blanked?[edit]

Why is this page missing? It's blank. RocketMaster 15:08, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's still here - If it was deleted the history and this talk page would be gone as well. I think Wikipedia is goofing up today. It's been slow for me. This is the only article I seen though that isn;t showing up. Cyberia23 20:14, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just made a simple edit to the page and it returned - weird. Cyberia23 20:33, 21 September 2006 (UTC) Used For SEX —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.109.0.130 (talk) 19:31, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So, who drove the car?[edit]

Why write it in a way that builds up suspense if you don't give the answer?--Cyberman TM (talk) 15:53, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The movie never makes clear 'who is driving the car - just a demonic shape appears in the smoke and fire of the explosion. To say it's Satan himself, or a demon or whatever would really be speculating. Cyberia23 (talk) 19:15, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I see, thanks. Still, I think it should be reworded. It reads like there is an answer.--Cyberman TM (talk) 18:17, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
My impression was, the whole point of the film is, it has no driver. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 22:16, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Call GEICO[edit]

As it now stands, the page has the film end with the explosion. I've seen (a couple of times) a TV cut where the car survives & is last seen on the highway...cruising toward a sequel that never got made, I'd guess. So my entry below is "vandalism" and this one isn't? Hmmm. This one isn't, and neither is mine.--24.21.220.126 (talk) 07:37, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted scenes (This is NOT a vandalism edit, its an honest question!)[edit]

Several different people on IMDB have mentioned that either the original theatric version or early TV airing had additional scenes: 1) Just before the car is about to run over the cop in the middle of the night in the downtown street, the old Indian woman sees it with its door open, no driver inside, and the door closes itself, the car stars up. This is what leads to a scene that was kept in the film: The younger Indian woman deputy telling her coworkers "She said, there was no driver in the car." The latter part on its own is kind of mysterious but also leads viewers to shrug -- how would the old lady have known there was no driver in the car? That's because we the viewers, except for those early prints, were never shown the old woman sequence. 2) When the car has the cop car pinned against the edge of the cliff, the cop pleads with it "Oh no, please don't" -- this scene actually had more dialogue, something to the effect of "Just wait till the rest of them get up here in a second!" These missing scenes have been discussed on the film's IMDB board but aren't mentioned in the Trivia area. --24.21.220.126 (talk) 07:44, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
