Untitled[edit]

It seems that no one has been updating the CBC Radio One shows for the new Fall Schedule. They dropped the show the The Inside Track and extended the show Spark (radio show) to one hopur. Oh dear. It is now 2024 and still no update? What a shame. This is a remarkably funny show, still going after 18 years and filling auditoriums still (my wife and I attended a live taping the other night).

Are the questions known beforehand?[edit]

I am wondering if the questions are known beforehand to the comedians (I understand that the theme is known). If no, then the contest will be akin to Table Topics at Toastmasters. Andreas ^(T) 17:42, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Having belonged once to Toastmasters and been to tapings of the Debaters I can comment on the term "akin": they are only superficially related. The Debates are between professional comedians, moderated by a very adept moderator; only the best of several debates made in the tapings make it to the live national radio show. This is not to belittle the skills of the speakers at Toastmasters Table Topics. I was a professional facilitator at the time and used Toastmasters to hone a few skills, but The Debaters is a different league. 24.87.154.112 (talk) 19:50, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
