Notability/Clarity[edit]

A brief bit of Googling has me thinking that this subject may indeed be notable. I've cited an article in The Australian which, though mainly a review of the cafe at Heronswood, does discuss the company and its history and may therefore establish notability per WP:ORG. And the Heronswood Estate is undoubtedly notable in its own right, as it is listed on the Register of the National Estate. Deletion, maybe; speedy, probably not. But I'll wait for a second opinion.

The article does appear to have been written by an employee of the company, and needs more sources, but that's par for the course. What I'm wondering, in the meantime, is what this company should be defined as. It appears to be involved in outreach and advocacy for particular gardening methods, but possibly not enough for that to be a defining factor. It appears to be primarily a mail-order seed company which sells annual memberships in addition to individual items; the perk of membership is that members are mailed a certain number of seed packets per season, which is more cost effective than buying the same seeds at retail price. So it's not a social club-type of gardening club; more like a book-of-the-month club. Is there a term for that? A bit more clarity on these two points (with footnotes!) would be helpful. --Fullobeans (talk) 06:33, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
