Copyright violations[edit]

I have had to delete large amounts of this article as it appears to be copied and pasted from other websites, making them copyright violations. No chances are being taken here given that copyright violations are not only against Wikipedia policy, they are also illegal. While sources had been provided for large amounts of this content, articles still have to be in editors own words and sourcing does not make it okay to copy the work of others, and with no quote tags it is still plagiarism. The main website which had content taken from it was Dubai FAQs, though other websites also seem to have been copied from. The Dubai FAQs website clearly states at the bottom of the page that the material is copyrighted, and even if such a notice is absent it is presumed by default that material on other websites is fully copyrighted. I also have to add that a lot of the content was promotional in nature and rather trivial, and so the article may be better without such content. Height of the fountains[edit]

The source referenced regarding that the height is now over 900 feet states that the city claims that the fountains are higher than 900 feet, but from what they can observe, it doesn't look nearly that high. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.216.20.157 (talk) 23:25, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Odor[edit]

I've heard anecdotally that the water used in the fountain is reclaimed and smells of sewage and can be distressing when downwind of it. Can anyone verify this claim and is it worth noting in the article? - Team4Technologies (talk) 03:25, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dead Links[edit]

According to Wikipedia rules, I want to update dead links to live. "What can be done with a dead external link Main pages: Wikipedia:Citing sources § Preventing and repairing dead links, and Wikipedia:Link rot Links to dead URLs in a list of external links are of no use to Wikipedia articles. Such dead links should either be updated or removed."
