Anya's Death[edit]

There's this persistent bit of trivia about how Anya was originally intended to die in this episode, but she moved in the shot, so Joss was forced to keep her alive. It stems from this comment at Nocturnal N3K:

"Y'know, she was supposed to die and I wasn't really paying attention to
the footage and he was supposed to be carrying her dead body and she kept
looking up, so she outsmarted me this time!"

Which seems like an obvious joke to me. The shooting script says:

"Xander carrying Anya, who looks out of danger, but clearly as stricken as the rest."

Fair use rationale for Image:Buffy522.jpg[edit]

Image:Buffy522.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Dawn stops being the key[edit]

Dawns origin becomes important again when Willow becomes evil and needs fresh energy. She threatens to kill Dawn in order to make her "a small energy ball" again. I think this makes fairly clear that Dawn still is the key. Other opinions?GWater (talk) 19:52, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Problems[edit]

  • Olaf's hammer is used to injure Glory; it had been previously used against Xander though he demonstrates no injuries from it.

I thought Xander demonstrated a broken arm from the hammer.

  • When the group is leaving to go fight Glory, Tara turns to Giles and shouts, "Killer!" foreshadowing Giles's murder of Ben later in the episode.

Emmy "Win"[edit]

Although we all love Buffy and love to see it get some due recognition, let's keep it encylopedic. This episode did NOT win an Emmy. The win was for an online poll done as a publicity stunt. Look up 60th primetime Emmy results and you'll see that there's no such award as "Television's Most Memorable Moment." Although I do believe myself that online polls says a lot more than a bunch of people on the emmy voting committee does, that's just how life is. 128.12.90.195 (talk) 00:19, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Series Finale Issue[edit]

The "arc significance" section claims that this episode was intended to serve as the series finale, but I'm pretty sure that claim is untrue, and at the least, it's too strongly worded. As I remember it (and of course it's been years and years since thie episode first aired - my God, the years) everyone was pretty sure that the show would be picked up somewhere else, but conceded the slight possibility that it may be the series finale. To say that it was intended to serve as the end of the show is wrong. Granted I am nearly 8 years late on this argument, but I would still like to add to it. It seems that when the episode originally aired, (the years indeed) production seemed to anticipate the end of the show. Cause the episode opens as every episode does with "Previously on Buffy the Vampire Slayer..." and shows a ton of clips, so many that they are eventually shown in super speed. Almost like its a summary of the entire first 5 seasons of the show. Why isn't this mentioned anywhere on in the article, by the way? Aidensdaddy2k9 (talk) 07:20, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

the hardest thing[edit]

Dawn repeats Buffy's words to her from the episode Once More, with Feeling (season 6, episode 7, delivered by Buffy after the song "Something to Sing About" and just before "Where Do We Go from Here"). Standing on the stage at The Bronze, Dawn looks to Buffy and says "The hardest thing in this world is to live in it."

I'm going to change the first part to "Dawn will quote Buffy's last words to her in 'OMWF'". Meanwhile I'm puzzled by the parenthesis. What is "delivered by Buffy"? —Tamfang (talk) 03:32, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
