Missing cast in table[edit]

So, the very helpful cast table graphic is far from complete, and missing some significant actors. have added one of them already, but viewing further realise that several significant cast members are missing (and some less significant) from this table. Some of the missing (but far from all, such as Pop Torrens and Iain Glen) are listed in the page Henry IV,
Part 2, but since that page is also incomplete, both of theses could do with some completion. I don't have the time this week, in case anyone else feels up to it. Richardhod (talk) 02:33, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Relevance of the "historical accuracy" section[edit]

These films are adaptations of Shakespearean plays. As such, a "historical accuracy" section seems irrelevant here and would be better suited to the articles on the plays upon which they are based (or perhaps on the Henriad page). A more relevant section here would be on the faithfulness of the adaptation (i.e. what was kept and changed from the plays in the films). Both a section on the accuracy of the plays in their respective articles and one on the faithfulness of the films to the plays would be highly interesting. However, I have not done the necessary research to write them so I would propose that this section is deleted for the time being.DilatoryRevolution (talk) 05:34, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Faithfulness of Adaption[edit]

To describe an adaption that omits all scenes that are a) dealing with the political background b) giving insight into the antagonists' characters, c) showing atrocities that really did happen (Henry V) - i.e. effectively removing all important subplots - as "The first series is largely faithful to the plays, although the text is abridged and lines are occasionally cut." must be a joke. Honestly, this adaption is more drastically altered than Olivier's "Henry V", and the directors of "The Hollow Crown" didn't have to work under war restrictions. (Sorry, I just finished watching the first series, it made me cringe. Definitely not going to watch the second series.) 176.0.193.187 (talk) 22:11, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
