This album contains the primary lineup of musicians for the 1980 release of the first Yellowjackets album with Russell Ferrante on keyboards, Jimmy Haslip on bass, Ricky Lawson on drums and Robben Ford’s masterful guitar soloing make this one of the best jazz groups of the early 1980’s. Unfortunately Robben Ford only played on the debut Yellowjackets album and played on a couple of tracks on the Sophmore release of Mirage A Tois before leaving the band to pursue his solo career as a blues artist and touring musician with other jazz notables during the 1980’s. 96.73.220.41 (talk) 08:09, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your informative and knowledgeable post. It’s truly soulful, entertaining and an album that embodies the jazz spirit. Saw Ford on his one euro date last year. He’s still enquiring. It’s probably what keeps him young. 81.98.228.85 (talk) 18:38, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
