encyclopedic?[edit]

To quote the article It has since become one of Wichita's most recognized and beloved symbols. To me this seems an expression of opinion. Although I am sure that the Keeper is one the most recognized Wichita landmarks, and beloved by most Wichitans (including myself) I feel this sentence would be better suited to a tourism guide than an encyclopedia article. --Bozokansas 06:37, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article title[edit]

In a book by the artist's stepson, "Blackbear Bosin: Keeper of the Indian Spirit," the statue's title is referenced as "Keeper of the Plains," rather than "The Keeper of the Plains." Perhaps the title of the page should be changed? Leoniceno (talk) 01:30, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright status of the sculpture and photos of it[edit]

Just a heads up that according to according to this report in "The Witcha Eagle" the statue is still subject to US copyright law, meaning that unauthorized photos of it would not be compatible with the licensing requirements at Commons. I have thus nominated most of the photos for deletion here. The remaining local files should probably be checked as well. --El Grafo (talk) 09:07, 12 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
