Story, legend,...[edit]

We need to clarify this a bit better: is it a story, a legend or a song? All three? Mention is made of all three, but it needs sorting out. --Technopat (talk) 10:13, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As you noted there is quite a lot to be done to improve this article in terms of copy editing, the usage of "legend", "story" and "song" is one aspect of this. This also has occurred because of different sources talking from different prospectives. Whether to use "legend" or "story" is somewhat a matter of choice of words, in so far as all legends are stories, for example one can say both "The Story of Robin Hood" and "The Legend of Robin Hood". I have therefore tidied the article to better reflect the current title. "Song" is a poor translation from Chinese which if taken literally refers to something which would take several hours to preform. Do appreciate the question being raised and any help that can be done making this more readable. Johnkn63 (talk) 12:42, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Recital? Ballad? Tale? Rendering? :) No, seriously, I was only referring to the difference 'tween the opening sentence and the title, which you have already sorted out. Later mentions throughout the text can then convey the various forms taken. Cheers! --Technopat (talk) 13:02, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Understood. Thank-you. Though the article itself certainly has round for improvement in terms of style.Johnkn63 (talk) 07:27, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
