writers[edit]

The episode guide is welcome, but it would be nice to know the writer of each episode, especially which episodes were written by Gene Roddenberry. Rick Norwood (talk) 21:51, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]


Controversy[edit]

I suggest removing the unsourced and unsubstantiated claim that the episode "To Set It Right" was not aired. I am a former USMC officer, who was commissioned in 1969. I remember watching this TV series as a high school student who already knew he wanted to be a Marine officer. I distinctly remember seeing this episode on TV as part of the regular series. I even remember some of the scenes from this episode, especially one in which the Afro-American actress, sitting in her car, berates Gary Lockwood for using the term "Afro-American" and not the term 'black.' Plus, in the early 1990s, I had already canceled my cable and had never subscribed to TNT when I did have cable. In fact, I've been "cable free" for over 35 years. Thomas R. The claim that the episode was never aired comes from the Paley Center for Media, but they may be mistaken. Episodes of television series may be listed in TV Guide or in local newspapers but then not aired. On the other hand, they may be withdrawn in some areas, as Star Trek was in the New Orleans area, but aired in other areas. Trfasulo's testimony is convincing, but unsupported memory is not allowed as a Wikipedia reference. I think the article should probably limit itself to saying that according to (quoted reference) the show was not aired at the time.Rick Norwood (talk) 12:09, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The notion that "To Set It Right" did not air, etc., in 1964, is a complete myth. A quick search of newspapers dot com shows this episode in TV listings throughout the country on Feb. 22, 1964, and then airing as a repeat on August 29, 1964. For instance, The Indianapolis Star on August 29 provides two paragraphs about the episode as a repeat on page 13, describing it as a good episode, but with flaws. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.113.194.229 (talk) 05:05, 19 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
