Release dates[edit]

Was Neil Young released in November 1968, as this article claims, or on 22 January 1969, as the album's article claims.  If it was indeed released on 22 January 1969, and if Three Dog Night's “One” was indeed released 16 October 1968 (as the article on “One” claims), then we would have to conclude that Three Dog Night's cover of "The Loner" was actually released before Neil Young's version, in which case someone (perhaps Young himself) must have provided them with access to the song before he released it.  Yet, there is no mention in the article about Three Dog Night's cover of "The Loner" being the first commercial release of the song.  Thus, it would seem that either the dates presented on Wikipedia are wrong (and, certainly, at least one of them has to be wrong), or this article needs to be augmented to include information regarding the fact that Three Dog Night's cover was released before Neil Young's rendition.  2601:14F:8100:4C:217:F2FF:FE9C:2261 (talk) 09:32, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
