Dear Lugnuts, as I didn't want to further embarass myself, I did have a look at WP:NCF, as you advised. Here's what I found:

If the English title means something different from the native title, use the English title, but in the first or second sentences of the article, explain the different meaning of the original title, putting it in bold too.

Betty Blue is a 1986 French film. Its original French title is 37°2 le matin, which means "37.2 °C in the Morning".

This is exactly the situation we have here; the original title means something completely different from the English title, which, according to the guideline, calls for an exception to the standard format of "English title (Language: foreign title)". Can you please explain to what it is that I failed to understand here (and also, what does "ffs" mean)? — Kpalion^(talk) 09:09, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is what we have in the article, the English title, followed by the Polish title and the literal translation. It's standard to have the formatting of the film title and non-English title(s) in the state it's currently in. I don't know why you're removing the link from the template {{lang-pl}} which adds the text "Polish" automatically. Lugnuts ^{Dick Laurent is dead} 13:20, 2 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

We can keep the link to Polish language if you really think it will help the reader understand what The Lure is about. But why do you insist on removing the word "title" from "Polish title" in the parenthesis? I think it would make the first sentence clearer to specify that "Córku dancingu" is the Polish title, but not a Polish translation of the English title. — Kpalion^(talk) 16:13, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lugnuts, I see that you are quick to revert my constructive edits and label them as vandalism, but slow to respond on the talk page. Anyway, maybe you will be able to tell me which part of MOS:Film exactly I am "going against"? For your convenience, I quoted above the part of WP:NCF that is relevant here. American distribution[edit]

Lugnuts, why shouldn't the United States distributor and release date be included in the infobox? Isn't it appropriate to include these information seeing that this is the English Wikipedia, and details which can be of use for those native to the country with the most English-speaking citizens in the world could also be minimally placed alongside those relating to the country of origin? @LionFosset: - per WP:FILMRELEASE and WP:FILMDIST we don't put the US release dates/distributions for a non-US film. Or to be more precise, we only include the release dates/distrubtion info for the nation or nations that produced the film. Hope that helps.
