Subject matter for this article[edit]

There is perhaps something to be said of the casting of H.B.Irving in the lead role - his father Sir Henry played the same role in a hugely successful theatre production and it is perhaps of interest that his son chose to take the role onto the screen. There is also some interest in the fact that the film used double exposure to show Irving in both of the roles he played in the film together on screen at the same time - this must have been innovative at the time for audiences? some good source material can be found here (for anyone with the time to invest in improving this article) : http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=xG252cwo8V8C&pg=PA276&lpg=PA276&dq=the+lyons+mail+1916+music&source=bl&ots=4rpGPOfSHA&sig=f92DJ4AXA9wJ2rCh_qUYBSn0fHg&hl=en&sa=X&ei=4WE4Uc2jBMbfObq0gaAK&ved=0CEcQ6AEwBQ#v=onepage&q=the%20lyons%20mail%201916%20music&f=false Excellentone (talk) 10:58, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
