Is any evidence given to the person who becomes king at the end of this movoie??? I think because we are not shown what happens after Louie is knocked out it could be possible to assume that he is not replaced as king, but repents. Because of this we should remove the part that says that Phillipe becomes king.

Don' be insane. If repentance is your explanation then the following would have to be true: that Athos, Porthos and Aramis turn over their rescued brother and send him back to prison, while being instantaneously forgiven by the repentant king and when your supposed philippe tries to exclaim "No! I'm the ..." Athos, who has become like a father to him, knees him in the stomach. Additionally the "king's" instructions was to have the "imposter" to "find redemption in wearing the pains he has placed on others."

If you're wanting to find some way to criticize this article, try quoting the use of RottenTomatoes.com as a source to determine that it was a "critical failure." 1) I'm not aware of anyone considering that website to be the final determinant of critical success due to the fact that 2)the reviewers have no known experience or qualifications and 3) there are only 32 entries, compared to over 200 for other movies which is due to the fact that 4) the website was launched well after the movie had released to theaters and home movies. Therefore all reviews are "recalled opinions" of only 32 unqualified, undocumented commenters. The entire subjectiveness of that statement should never be used as a cited source of fact.

In reality, if the writer of this article is old enough to have been an adult when this movie was initially released, would have known that it's box-office presence was limited to the still dominating Titanic film and was avoided by a large male audience who had grown tired of the words "Leonardo Dicaprio". The real popularity and financial success of the film was later realized in movie rentals and purchases when released to home video.

This movie did not end Titanic's string of being #1 at the box office. Lost in Space did. Also, Titanic was not #1 for 6 months, it was #1 for only 4. Can someone change this please?

Philippe becomes king. It is pretty obvious that this happens because he appoints Athos, Aramis, and Porthos as his royal advisers. Athos tried to kill Louis earlier because of Raoul's death, but Philippe allows Athos to live. Also, the musketeers aim to replace Louis, so if the king was Louis, they would have all died, not lived. Louis recieves a royal pardon, which is characteristic of Philippe (who is sympathetic and the opposit eof Louis), while if Louis was king, he would have probably put the man in the iron mask in prison.
