Mission Statement[edit]

Can we get the band's mission statement added to the article?

"Since the year 200X (4), The Megas have strived to bring a message from Dr. Light to the people. They have chosen to transmit that message, the tale of a small blue robot named Megaman, directly into the eardrums of the general populace through the power of rock." Alby13 (talk) 19:41, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have added the mission statement to the article. Please update it or let me know if there is a better way to display it. alby13 (talk) 05:19, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Game Music 4 All[edit]

Also, we need the Game Music 4 All exclusive track listed here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheAstroCreep (talkcontribs) 08:13, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It makes no Goddamn sense to have this page for The Megas be allowed in while there's no page for The Protomen because they aren't notable enough. I object to this double-standard. ~ MiraiGen —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.102.206.51 (talk) 18:37, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Does this belong on the Talk page for The Megas? Please respect the talk page guidelines, specifically that this page is to, "...discuss changes to its associated article or project page." alby13 (talk) 00:10, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with MiraiGen, I had not even heard of The Megas until I went looking for The Protomen in Wikipedia, only to discover that they have no article because some mod keeps putting it up for deletion despite the amount of evidence towards the bands noteworthiness. Keeping this page and deleting The Protomen sets a double standard. Kenny (talk) 20:53, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Again, please respect the talk page guidelines, specifically that this page is to, "...discuss changes to its associated article or project page." It should be used to discuss ways to improve the article. alby13 (talk) 00:10, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mega Ran[edit]

Phoenix, Arizona based producer Random produced Mega Ran which features The Megas in a hip-hop style. Here is the IGN link for more info: [1]. alby13 (talk) 21:51, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of content[edit]

The Podcast section, Mission statement, East Coast Live Tour, and future plans information were deleted from the article. The album cover art was on display in the article as well, and was deleted. This information has been on the Wikipedia page for about half a year. This kind of editing is bordering on malicious editing, although I'm not saying "Duffbeerforme" is in the wrong for deleting unsourced content, an effort should be made to find sources to support rather than delete encyclopedic information. Please discuss proposed changes to the article. I have added back in the mission statement with reference, and I have supported the Style section with a new reference. alby13 (talk) 00:04, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the mission statement again, simply because we're not here to advertise for the band. If their mission statement is discussed critically by non-trivial sources, then we should do that: give an idea of what those sources say, not simply repeat the mission statement without any commentary. Wyatt Riot (talk) 15:51, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources[edit]

In an effort to find reliable sources, I'd like to propose links to sources that may qualify and get opinions on them. Absolutepunk.net has an album review, http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=474461 And yes, Wired and Capcom's official web log are reliable sources. I have removed the tags placed on them. alby13 (talk) 00:04, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gibson and nintendocore[edit]

Gibson Guitars associates The Megas with Nintendocore style music: http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Lifestyle/Features/like-video-games-305/ alby13 (talk) 17:39, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NINTENDOCORE[edit]

i have deleted nintendocore from the genres section because it's more of a metal subgenre than just rock. MasterOfBucket (talk) 21:52, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Breeding in commercials[edit]

Should it be noted somewhere, because he does not have his own article, that Josh Breeding has appeared in numerous commercials? I've seen him in commercials for Hot Pockets, Captain Morgan, an ad in a movie theater about keeping your phone on silent during movies, and recently Chevrolet Cruze. FallenWings47 (talk) 15:25, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would say no, unless it's important to understanding the band in some way? The question I would ask is this: is it mentioned as important in reliable, third party sources? Cheers! Wyatt Riot (talk) 15:51, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
All righty! I was thinking as like an "other projects" section because he doesn't have his own article. Just thought I'd throw it out there! FallenWings47 (talk) 00:58, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Josh Breeding needs his own page. He is in movies, tv commercials, theater, and a band. alby13 (talk) 00:30, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 21:32, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Are any of the albums notable enough for their own article?[edit]

I'm a massive fan and wouldn't mind to make them, I'm just a noob and would like to know if that would be acceptable LOL Megaman2003 (talk) 18:16, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
