Critical response[edit]

I have added more from Time's original review to give balance to this section, which had seemed to indicate a negative review. While they did find some aspects of the play "clumsy," and "uneven" they went on to describe those scenes as "a needed contrast", providing balance to the more emotionally-charged scenes of struggle between teacher and pupil. Characters[edit]

This entire section needs to have a verifiable source added. There is a comment that the information came from "ennotes dot com" but a correctly formatted and checkable source needs to be included here to assure that this information is not original research or directly lifted from another source.

I deleted the copy that I had questioned immediately above after viewing enotes.com. The information had been picked up word for word from that source.

South Park[edit]

We might mention the spoof on "The Miracle Worker" that appears in an episode of the television show South Park, "Helen Keller! The Musical". (here)
