Opening sentence

I'm not sure that the opening sentence makes sense:

"The New Book of Knowledge is an encyclopedia intended primarily for children from 3rd to 8th grades and also adults.[1]"

How can the books be intended "primarily" for young children and adults? Also, the reference [1] doesn't seem to mention anything about adult readers.

UK publication[edit]

The New Book of Knowledge was published in the UK, possibly by Harmsworth, in the 1940s, in 10 vols. Two supplements covering the war were later released. Whether the US book is a version of the UK book or just a coincidental naming I have no ides. Rich Farmbrough, 04:48, 15 May 2012 (UTC).[reply]

Is this needed[edit]

No copies since 2010, no pop culture reference, nothing notable besides who made it. Should we delete this? New3400 (talk) 21:00, 27 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
