Co-Operative Organization[edit]

I've been reading a lot about this group, and in all the materials I've seen, they're referred to as Marxist-Leninists, not Maoists, and they're called the C.O. (Co-Operative Organization), not the O. I'm going by Betsy Raasch-Gilman's history of the North Country Co-Op and Craig Cox's book Storefront Revolution. I also have a stash of lefty Mpls newspapers from the '70s, which have some more information on these folks. I'll try to put something together this week and fix up this page. Working on the Seward Community Cafe page, so a lot of research is overlapping.Hellorraine (talk) 01:13, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A Star Tribune article from 2003 refers to it as the "O." though says that it was originally founded as the "C.O." Seems that Alexandra Stein's book, A Memoir of Entering and Breaking Out of a Minneapolis Political Cult might be a good resource. Gobonobo T C 08:00, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

this is about the coop struggle not the o per se[edit]

Hi, this article is mostly a rehash of food coop struggle material (when it was the Coop Organization) that non members wrote about the O. It needs more information about the O itself. I'll start adding materials over the next few month. Source materials from the O are being uploaded here:https://codoc.mayfirst.info/ Infoatcodoc (talk) 19:40, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This quote "Co-op member Phill Baker, who was part of the board meeting, described C.O. members attacking them with iron bars and ripping the phones from the walls." lacks supporting reference. Should it be removed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Infoatcodoc (talkcontribs) 22:25, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
