Father

I thought for sure this would be answered in a Wikipedia article, but...

...where's the father in the show? Has he ever been mentioned in the series? Is he dead? Divorced?? In a Vietnam P.O.W. camp??? (Hey, it was the early '70's). I watched the show alot as a kid over the years and I don't remember this issue ever coming up.

(Personally I think it was either Ruben Kincaid, in a bizarre Empire Strikes Back twist OR Mike Brady was a polygamist and raised two families. The Partridges in northern California and the Bradys further south. That would explain the extended out of town business trips.) Jack Meihoffer 04:43, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Your question is already answered in the first sentence, "a widowed mother". Mr. Partridge "died unexpectedly" 6 months prior to the start of the series, leaving Shirley struggling to support 5 children. He was only mentioned briefly in 2 episodes during the first season, never to be referenced again.
The Mike Brady joke is not funny.

I think it's hilarious. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:30A:2C32:A0D0:A196:B3CB:4E63:5383 (talk) 07:34, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

Abbythecat (talk) 01:00, 21 December 2016 (UTC)Someone wrote the ending theme song is called NEVER NEED TO THINK. I'm curious what the source is for this. I never read this information anywhere. Is it accurate? AbbythecatAbbythecat (talk) 01:00, 21 December 2016 (UTC)
