Sources[edit]

I'm particularly concerned about the lack of sources in the "Publishing" section, which makes a lot of assertions about the feelings of readers that I don't think could ever be supported. If adequate reliable sources aren't supplied in the next few weeks, I'll be trimming that section. Brendan Moody 11:44, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Plantcover.jpg[edit]

Image:Plantcover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:47, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plot?[edit]

Plot? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.134.170.249 (talk) 01:40, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It’s summarized in the lead. I don’t know if a Plot section is necessary, given the size of the article. —174.141.182.82 (talk) 02:57, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reference to Fangoria article[edit]

I have found an article in Fangoria magazine relating to this work. It's quite remarkable, because I guess this is the first time the general public got a hint of the birth of this novel.

Soon, a growing friendship developed between King and Atkins. So, now Atkins is on the horror scribe's select and totally strange Christmas shopping list. "Not many people know this, but Stephen has a book he's working on called The Plant. He does a chapter a year and sends it out to a few friends around Christmas? It is a real trip, but it can be frustrating. Last year, I got a chapter and read it through to a crucial point in the story when it suddenly ended. Now, I have to wait until this year to find out what happens next. It is a great story. I only hope I live long enough to find out how it ends."

— Marc Shapiro, King of the Creeps - An Interview with Tom Atkins, Fangoria #58, October 1986

Should this be added to the page on The Plant? If so, how should I add it? Trim it? Only publish the reference? Geert Daelemans (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 18:08, 11 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
