Proposal to change name of article into "The Pleasure Seekers/Cradle". It is currently "Pleasure Seekers (band)"[edit]

Reasons:

  1. The original name of the band contains the word "The" but this is not in the current name of the article.
  2. "The Pleasure Seekers" already has an article about a film, and there is another one about a song.
  3. The second name of the band is "Cradle" but this does not appear in the name of the article - it is a bit confusing when someone wants to see an article about a band called Cradle and the name of the article they find does not tell them they have probably arrived in the right place.

So I feel that it would be better to move the article to "The Pleasure Seekers/Cradle" rather than to the more obvious alternative "The Pleasure Seekers (band)".

No comments. "Pleasure Seekers (band)" has now been moved to "The Pleasure Seekers/Cradle". Peter Loader (talk) 11:29, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've just moved it back to The Pleasure Seekers (band) ... before seeing this discussion. The fact is that we should be guided by WP:COMMONNAME - and the band were, as far as I know, never known as "The Pleasure Seekers/Cradle". They were The Pleasure Seekers, and the disambiguation term is (band). It's a trivially easy matter to have Cradle (US band) redirecting to this article.
