Talk:The Possum Drop

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There are no federal permits that are required, or even would apply, for the use of an opossum in this event. NC requires a state permit for the possession of native species, which is what applies in this situation. Contrary to what the judge claimed in the recent court ruling, the state law very specifically DOES give the the Wildlife Commission the authority to decide when a captivity permit is issued. Deleted Sentence[edit]

I deleted this sentence: "Comments on opposition to the Tallapoosa event are often removed from Wikipedia by organizers but will continue to be added. See Revisions." It seemed like it belonged on the talk page, not the article about the subject itself. 38.83.0.69 (talk) 15:17, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Cancellation of Brasstown drop[edit]

It is not been confirmed that the drops are permanently cancelled in Brasstown. Mayor Reid of Andrews, NC has verbally promised to discontinue the drops in Andrews, but there is no proof that it will be permanently discontinued in Brasstown, where it was originally (i.e. they may just move it back to Brasstown).
