Legitimacy of article[edit]

This article was previously deleted, despite efforts to keep it. As a preventative measure from this happening again (and then again after being revived), I would like to begin a discussion here. This discussion will hopefully have a number of replies and arguments before anyone proposes deletion so that any "deletion" is thoroughly thought through and not quickly initiated.

The argument is that The Scene Aesthetic lacks notability. Here's my input: the line determining notability is very rough when it comes to bands, mostly because popularity is the central agent of a band's notability. It was argued that since this band is "underground" and more or less a local band, it's not notable. But its popularity is astounding, with fans from everywhere in the United States. Every now and then, I personally come across someone who happens to know the band. When I moved into my university, I noticed someone's door in my hall had a reference one of the band's songs. It's a viral internet band, and sells its music on Amazon and iTunes.

On the other hand, it's difficult to see where its precise notability comes in. That was something we lacked in the previous argument, which eventually turned into a sort of subjective importance argument. (And I must admit that that's arguably what I did above). So I suggest that further arguments demonstrate notability, especially if it can be done using independent sources. --Crushti (talk) 02:50, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article is absolutely notable. [1] According to last.fm the group has 1,318,253 plays and 52,930 listeners at the time of this writing. I personally found out about them from Danger Radio (ironic since many other people probably found out about Dander Radio from The Scene Aesthetic). The page was probably previously attempted to be deleted because of its format, and now that it "looks good" there really shouldn't be any problems.  Xeysz  ☼  23:37, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image[edit]

File: The Scene Aesthetic Live.jpg - Can this image be used? I'm not sure about all of the copyright issues etc. for images of bands playing live. I didn't take the photo, found it here. It might need to be made smaller too. Adam2201 (talk) 16:10, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Discography[edit]

TSA need their own discography page and each of the albums should have their own page. How do you remove the redirects? Adam2201 (talk) 20:38, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

This article needs cleaning up. (it has already been deleted once) It has no references (except for a "tumblr blog entry" and the neutrality is questionable. (I already removed one such edit - see here) Tags added. - theWOLFchild 16:36, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
