Fair use rationale for Image:Burkeshot2.jpg[edit]

Image:Burkeshot2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

LOL[edit]

HAHAHAHAHA HA HA HA!

Wow.. this article was written to avoid the elephant in the room. Tiptoeing around why he was fired. Deceptive if you ask me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.88.117.47 (talk) 04:19, 16 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

=============================[edit]

I feel for Shannon. Things changed over night for him. Everyone makes mistkaes... its funny how when something is going good everyone is trying to get ride... But when it goes bad that when you see the people supporting you try to attack you ... I have no respect for the people that kick someone when they are down.. Shannon I wish you the very best.

I'm sure he's a total shithead[edit]

But why was he fired already? I mean he was arrested, not convicted. These lame fucking companies can't support anyone. These fuckers drove howard stern from the airwaves, wouldn't fight the FCC at all, and now soon as a DJ says the slightest thing wrong on the air they fire them. Now, i'd gues they fire you if you get a speeding ticket. WTF. Innocent until proven guilty? Nope, not for a corporation! Serves clear channel and every other radio channel that their industry is going the way of wagon makers. BUH-BYE!

Cabin boy potential name change[edit]

Hi Matt,

My name is Will Long and I reside in Tampa . I drive through Orlando many days a month for my job and I listen to your show until you arew basically static...lol. I'm always amused and entertained by you and SBK ( and Shannon in the past) and wish you guys were available in the Tampa mkt.

the reason for my message to you is I am a marketing major and work for Honda Motor Co. ( for 25 yrs) , and was listening to your plight of the Name " Cabin Boy " being outgrown by you and I fully understand where you are at . I feel though, that you have become a "brand" with the name Cabin Boy, and shouldn't give it all up . A simple mature suggestion would be the name " Matt Cabin " ..rolls off the tongue well, and it shows your growth , yet maintains the brand name you have spent years cultivating . Just a thought from a Tampa fan Will aka Powerrrup —Preceding unsigned comment added by Powerrrup (talkcontribs) 17:53, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV[edit]

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 01:24, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Some rewriting necessary[edit]

Shannon specializes on no holds barred radio, expressing his views on politics and society without regard to feelings. Rather Shannon relies on logic and historically empirical evidence to convey his views.

This is clearly written with an agenda in mind, of course, but it's also jargon filled - "no holds barred"? (It also implies that this is a particular radio format). As to these views, these sentences don't actually mention what these beliefs are. This needs to be either re-written or taken out.2001:4930:3500:37:84E1:A146:7D22:F904 (talk) 18:59, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
