there are no dead horses to beat[edit]

shopsatwillowbend is not a fansite, as an editor from 2006 should understand. Please review WP:RS and WP:EL and WP:COI and WP:SPAM and WP:POV. Flowanda | Talk 06:28, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Although I may be being paranoid, I get the feeling that this comment is aimed at me -- in which case I should point out that I had nothing whatsoever to do with the link to my site being added to this article. HMishkoff (talk) 12:48, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You have a conflict of interest with this subject and the company that owns this mall, yet you continue to edit here. But when a link to your website was added, you failed to correct its description as a "fan site". Details of the case properly sourced per WP:RS are probably worthy of addition to this article, but even then, your links may still not be. Flowanda | Talk 05:14, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
ShopsAtWillowBend.com is absolutely a fan site. I set it up as a fan site, I maintained it as a fan site for something like two years before the owners stumbled across it and sued me -- and although that dampened my enthusiasm somewhat, I continue to occasionally update it for accuracy and completeness. I have never said anything in any venue that was less than flattering about the mall. The movie about the lawsuit is filled with me saying how great the mall is and how much I like it. When people write to me and tell me that they're going to boycott the mall because of the lawsuit, I typically respond by pointing out that I like the mall and that I continue to shop there.
I've made dozens of edits to this site over the years, I'm not looking through the list as I write this, but I seem to recall that they're all very minor, mostly copy edits, some factual corrections, nothing at all in the way of opinion. If you can find even one of my edits that betrays even a hint of prejudice against the mall, I'll refrain from editing the article in the future. But since I've always been (and continue to be) a big fan of the mall, I'm confident that you won't be able to find anything like that whatsoever. HMishkoff (talk) 12:12, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Saks[edit]

I've jumped the gun by a few days to revise the article in light of the closing of Saks, which was announced this morning, but which is actually scheduled to occur four days from now. HMishkoff (talk) 00:41, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
