Notability/OR?[edit]

I'm a huge MST fan (see user name), so it's not that I don't get it; but my first concern is the notability of this film. It is completely unknown outside of the MST universe and has never attracted any notable media attention. Is the fact that it was on MST3K sufficient to declare it notable? (That'd be fine by me.)

Secondly, I'm removing the entire 'Analysis' section as OR; a link to (or at least citations from) a review would be more welcome. Rowsdower45 16:22, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the fact that Robert Dornan was in it may have helped, even though I only know about him because of, well... Montaced (talk) 07:03, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bob Dornan is a notorious public figure whose political career spanned twenty years. Since this was the only film in which he enjoyed a staring role (yawn inducing though it may be) it is of note. The fact that The Starfighters is consistently in the IMDB bottom 100 also makes this film notable.Wyldstaar (talk) 01:38, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This movie has an unusual amount of votes on IMDB and I check maybe it is because of the mst3k volume 12 (the final by Rhino company) which also includes 3 other episodes (wild rebels, secret agent super dragon, clonus horror) that the public got attention of it but they all have less votes substantially than SF, wild rebels/dragon does not have up to 1,000 votes and clonus has 2,000some votes while SF has 3,000 over. 2600:1700:4000:62E0:68EA:BE4C:E44B:C7E5 (talk) 21:18, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Added analysis[edit]

I think this plotless movie requires the reason. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:4000:62E0:415C:E582:A79E:5F19 (talk) 20:16, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
