Lyric Interpretation[edit]

I'm going to move these here for now, until we can find citations. As it is, these are only fan speculations.

"Per one interpretation, the song is about a guilt over death which one may have caused, and the "stone" in the song refers to a gravestone.[citation needed] Another take on the song: when set against Shakespeare's Hamlet, numerous parallels can be drawn between the lyrics and the underlying themes of Hamlet...Guilt, Remorse, Duty, Insanity, Death, Immortality, Loss of loved ones, Indecision, and on and on."
