Stan Lee?[edit]

"The book was turned into a movie starring Anthony Hopkins as Chavel and Kristin Scott Thomas as Therese also a very young Stan lee." -- Removed the bolded portion as vandalism or incomprehensible. 1988 film http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096243/ . Comment on TV version[edit]

Removed the text below on the grounds that, although factually correct, it applies to a shot lasting a few seconds in the TV version and has no significance for the moral or theological thread of the story:

“Since the movie takes place in 1941-1945 (world war two in France) it is totally inaccurate to represent a Roman Catholic church altar, when toward the end of the movie a priest is summoned, as a protestant (Lutheran) table. In France or indeed anywhere else in the world until the 1960's after Vatican II "Luther's table" as it is often called was not seen in Catholic churches. Knowledgeable Catholics might ask why the movie producer/director would misrepresent the Traditional Catholic altar and worship in that particular scene.”
