Miles Asteri[edit]

Miles Asteri is shown on the summary table as both Faithful and a traitor - should be traitor only (I don’t know how to correct the Table) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chester704 (talkcontribs) 11:24, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Miles was not an original traitor. He was recruited by the original 3 traitors. (Fran Bosh (talk) 18:48, 13 January 2024 (UTC))[reply]

Contestants table revision[edit]

Hello all, per WP:BRD I'm bringing this edit to the talk page following its reversion. As my edit summary states, this change improves the quality of information given, primarily by clearly displaying when contestants' affiliations change during the series, rather than placing this detail in footnotes alongside rather confusing split rows. It also thus improves accessibility for those using screen readers, as does the unmerging of column throughout the table. It's a necessary change, but I'm happy to hear any further suggestions for amendments of course. U-Mos (talk) 21:36, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've restored this edit given there's been no response. Happy to discuss further if desired. U-Mos (talk) 20:15, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
U-Mos If you're going to change this, can you make sure to be consistent and change it on the other versions too. Australian, Greek and AmericanLaila Morse (talk) 00:30, 27 January 2024 (UTC) strike sock -- Ponyobons mots 21:46, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@ReillyVega: I invite you again to discuss here rather than edit warring. I have outlined above the issue with the current format (accessibility, excessive noting, lack of clarity on recruited traitors). If you have any concerns then please outline them and we'll find a resolution. U-Mos (talk) 11:48, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The information is already presented on the voting table and therefore on the page, this is duplication of information. The footnotes against the contestant table is sufficient. The affiliation timeline is not needed against contestant names due to this reason. ReillyVega (talk) 11:52, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for explaining that. If the information in the voting table is deemed sufficient, then the notes should be excised regardless. I continue to think the vertical presentation of recruited traitors is messy and confusing if not connected to a timeframe within the table. Removing the merged rows remains essential for accessibility purposes. I propose the below as a compromise:
List of The Traitors contestants

  1. ^ After the roundtable in Episode 6, the traitors were told they had to murder someone in plain sight, via ‘The Poisoned Chalice’. They chose Diane, however the poison did not work immediately so Diane was present at breakfast the next morning. The players were told one of them would succumb to the poison after the mission. All players but Diane, Evie and Paul were told they were safe, via clues along the way. At the end, the majority voted Diane the poisoned player and they were correct, gaining the full £7,000 for the prize pot.

That version works better, only change would be to have the text as 'Recruited Traitor' ReillyVega (talk) 16:22, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I've implemented that change for both British series. U-Mos (talk) 19:13, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I agree they should be changed, but it is in no way beholden on me alone to do so. You're welcome to do so yourself if you have the time. As you can see this change has been agreed upon, so I've restored it. U-Mos (talk) 23:31, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ross Carson recruitment[edit]

Ross Carson was both recruited as a traitor and revealed as a traitor to the audience in episode 9 so why is it 9/10 in the voting chart? (Fran Bosh (talk) 19:17, 27 January 2024 (UTC))[reply]
