Tax write off or career move?[edit]
I find Nesmith's explanation of the album being a tax write off very suspicious. It seems an unlikely item to be a valid claim ("I decided to make a recored album instead of paying you any tax...!"), but extremely likely to be something he'd pay for out of his own pocket, with or without his accountant's blessing. His agenda seemed to run 1. join The Monkees, 2. take over The Monkees, 3. start solo career while still a Monkee, 4. leave The Monkees. Since Hal Blaine was interested enough to ask why he was spending so much cash, I can see Mike being reluctant to confess this was his escape plan. MartinSFSA (talk) 11:38, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Sound of the CD[edit]
"which makes the sound harsh and over-bright." Many people prefer the sound of vinyl. Would the writer describe the sound of the vinyl in the same terms? If not, then why would a vinyl-to-CD transfer sound worse than the vinyl itself? Kanderso (talk) 13:35, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
