Fair use rationale for Image:Wrestlingclassic.jpg[edit]

Image:Wrestlingclassic.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Match Times[edit]

The length of the matches in the Results section and in the brackets don't match up. What's the deal? -Drdisque 08:01, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Whoever made the brackets put in the wrong times. TJ Spyke 08:21, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

JYD/Spot Match[edit]

Shouldn't there be a note added mentioning that JYD won this match via pinfall even though there wasn't even a referee in the ring at the time? DX927 (talk) 02:38, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source? I can't find any reviews online and the event hasn't been released on DVD. TJ Spyke 02:42, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I own a copy of the show and have watched it a thousand times. It's mentioned here http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/video_reviews/54690/Dark-Pegasus-Video-Review:-The-Wrestling-Classic.htm DX927 (talk) 07:42, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pay Per View name vs. Tournament Name[edit]

If you watch this youtube video of the countdown for this show... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbxfjpovhXo it seems very clear to me that the name of the Pay Per View was WrestleVision, and that The Wrestling Classic was the name of the Tournament on the Pay Per View. I think this article should be renamed or redirected to reflect as such. Yagobo79 (talk) 05:34, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Negative. WrestleVision was the concept of any event that would not be televised on broadcast or regional cable (ie, MSG network). Before Pay-Per-View was a fully realized concept, McMahon thought that branding special events as "WrestleVision" events would give it some sort of cachet. No one really knows why McMahon left it peter out of The Wrestling Classic, but the generic term 'Pay-per-view' has essentially taken its place. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.115.155.55 (talk) 17:36, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

wwe wwf[edit]

This is supposed to be WWF The Wrestling Classic, because all WWE marks and other stuff under WWE is supposed to be WWF at a cetain time. So somebody better move this back to WWF because it is said on the WP:PW page.--WillC 05:00, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand why WWF or WWE is needed in the article name at all though. Why not call the article simply "The Wrestling Classic"? We don't have an article called "NFL Super Bowl XXV", it is just "Super Bowl XXV". --Jameboy (talk) 15:58, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
