I don't think the John Le Mesurier linked here can be the right father, if you check the dates. Otherwise, very helpful, thank you.

Agreed. The page says: "Rev. Thomas Le Mesurier (28 August 1756 – 14 July 1822) was a British lawyer, cleric and polemicist.

He was born on Alderney, in the Channel Islands, the fourth son of John Le Mesurier, Hereditary Governor of that island" - now, if you click on the link, that John Le Mesurier's dates are given as "1781-1843". So was Thomas's father born AFTER at least four of his own sons???? Will this ever be revised?

The John Le Mesurier (formerly) linked here was actually John Le Mesurier III, there were two other Governors with that name. John Le mesurier II was obviously the father. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.108.56.72 (talk) 04:40, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
