Throwing?[edit]

shouldn't there be a page on general throwing? the ability to throw things accurately is a primary difference between humans and animals. was kind of expecting a big page on it. maybe i didnt look hard enough? /shrug Sahuagin 17:37, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Throw is also used in terms of the motion of a train in a tunnel and its motion. This 'throw' must be accounted for in tunnel design —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.42.104.174 (talk) 07:43, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

cheating[edit]

There should be something about "throwing a game". Unschool (talk) 05:33, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Parties[edit]

I'd also add the act of throwing a party to the list. I originally came here to see if there was any info on the origin of the term (it seems pretty strange to me) or the logic behind it. I'd do it myself but of course I don't know. Danikat (talk) 14:33, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Throw (bedding)[edit]

Someone needs to add bedding throw to the page. I'm looking at a whole page of these things on Amazon, my university is trying to sell me one for my dorm, and I don't even know what it's for, lol. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.11.102.140 (talk) 21:24, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's basically a kind of sheet, usually colourful and at least partially decorative. For example some people will put a throw over a sofa either to protect it or to add decoration. eg: http://www.yurdan.com/productImages/categoryimages/sofa_covers.jpg Same idea with a bed.
