Considerably fleshed out article (like, you know, added where it is) and removed stub and content listing. If anyone wants to add more, feel free to do so. Accidents on the Tiber Wolf or WOF[edit]

I don't know of any other rides at Worlds of Fun that have caused a death. To my knowledge the rest have just been minor injuries.--Moonraker0022 22:56, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is true that the Zambezi Zinger didn't have seat belts, and had a tunnel. Although are no news articles that I have found that that verify the story. There are several "Tunnel Beheading" Urban Myths/Legends stories that appear all across the country. One such on is on Silver Dollar City's Fire In The Hole. I've searched and searched and haven't found any news articles that support that. Urban Myths

For consistency and ease of finding the info on amusement park ride accident stories in Wikipedia, the info is consolidated onto the various Incidents at... pages. That way, if more (or accurate) info is found on the story, we don't have to go all over the place updating it. Cheers! SpikeJones 23:24, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The reason for having it on here was so if people go looking for the Timber Wolf Incident, they can go straight to the Timber Worlf page. Instead of being redirected to another one. It doesn't hurt to have the same info both places. Moonraker0022 23:28, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it does hurt to have the info in 2 places, as the info will only be updated on the Incidents page as necessary. (see any number of inconsistent pieces of information on other topics due to being scattered across pages; if you need specific examples of info not being updated correctly, let me know) This is consistent with how we've been handling all ride accident sections across the board. The ex-roller coaster, ExtremRoller/Steamroller which was taken out in 1989, I think, had a fatality of a bystander (the track went over the sidewalk, and someone got their head decapitated when standing on a fence) CloversMallRat 03:45, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Closing[edit]

Whoa! Where did this information come from that it's closing? I haven't heard this. From #1 wooden coaster in the world to demolished 16 years later... that's hard to believe. --Skylights76 20:47, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a {{fact}} tag to that, hopefully whoever posted it will turn up with some info, if they don't soon I'd recommend removing it. A cursory search of the worlds of fun page turned up these two items:

[1] Indicating the ride has just been renovated (unusual if they plan to tear it down)

[2] Indicating that work will likely continue on the Timber Wolf for 2-3 more years, highly unlikely if the ride won't exist anymore.

I had emailed the regional contacts for the ACE and the president of the Wooden Coaster Club for confirmation (figured I'd try them before actually emailing WOF), but you've found some pretty convincing info. The same thing popped up in the article today calling it an "unconfirmed fact" (isn't that an oxymoron?) no citation was given. I think a statement such as this should not be left in the article so I removed it instead of simply adding a {{fact}} tag. I'd say it falls under WP:CRYSTAL at the very least. Logo needs to be updated[edit]

If this roller coaster had its logo updated since the 2018 refurbishment, why isn't the modernized logo in this article yet and still using the outdated logo? FrancineFan3883 (talk) 01:35, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
